PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting to the VP, Fund Development – the Senior Manager Corporate and Leadership Giving plays a crucial role in advancing the financial sustainability of an organization. This position is responsible for identifying and assessing supporters who align with Liver Canada’s values and goals, as well as carrying out strategic plans designed to engage leadership funders. In this role you will lead, develop and manage the leadership budget.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Donor and Prospect Engagement: Develop and implement both long-term and short-term plans to increase leadership giving (major donors, corporate and foundation) support. This includes stewarding current donors while expanding the donor base into new areas of philanthropy where the organization has not previously engaged.
Donor Management: Manage a portfolio of at least 150 prospective donors who have the capacity to give significant amounts. This involves cultivating relationships, making direct solicitations, and assisting board members and staff in their fundraising efforts.
Research and Identification: Conduct research to identify potential donors and stay updated on current trends in philanthropy.
Moves Management: Execute strategies that advance the moves-management process, ensuring that each prospect/donor has a tailored strategy aimed at increasing their giving levels. Establish and maintain relationships with donors and corporate partners to secure funding for Liver Canada initiatives.
Grant Applications: Submit grant proposals by determining their alignment with Liver Canada.
Reporting and Analysis: Regularly report on fundraising activities to senior leadership, including analysis of trends and results as well as recommendations for improvement and growth.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other development staff to create fundraising materials such as brochures, letters, case statements, and digital content that effectively communicate the organization’s mission. Work cross departments to ensure funders are engaged and stewarded.
Planned Giving Promotion: Actively promote planned giving options to potential donors as part of a broader strategy for securing future gifts.
