Description
Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for an experienced and analytical individual to join our team as Manager - Cost Planning. This role plays an essential part in our mission to establish a world-class entertainment destination in Saudi Arabia. As the Cost Planning Manager, you will be responsible for building up construction costs, devising and overseeing pre contract cost management strategies and ensuring that all financial aspects of our projects are aligned with the overall budget and strategic goals of the organization. Primary Responsibilities Cost Planning: Take a proactive approach to cost planning by understanding cost vs. value equation, ensuring optimal financial outcomes without compromising project goals Cost Consultant Management: Oversee the monthly tracker for scope and cost movements from previous phases and assist in reviewing cost plans submitted by Cost Consultants for accuracy and design alignment. Monitor and analyze design efficiencies as the project progresses, ensuring that the 3rd party Cost Consultant adheres to the defined scope of work, guidelines, and procedures. Standards: Ensure strict adherence to defined policies and processes, while maintaining a thorough understanding of IPMS measurement guidelines. Demonstrate familiarity with Qiddiya's established policies, processes, and templates. Business Units: Provide internal updates to your Business Unit on the status of construction costs and design metrics. Ensure representation during internal reviews to facilitate progress and successfully pass through Stage Gates. Benchmarking: Understanding of benchmarking to effectively integrate design metrics with cost positions, ensuring assurance throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. Feasibility: Awareness of feasibility requirements with regards to cost planning 5+ years relevant Cost Planning Experience (Cost Planning, Quantity Surveying, Estimating) Local GCC Experience Worked in Local (GCC) Construction industry for 2 years or more (preferred) Expert with industry standards eg NRM, CESSM, RIBA, POMI, etc. Experience in working on large scale projects with Construction Value greater than: 200m SAR Familiar with benchmarking cost and design. Experience with costs/benchmarking in KSA or Middle East is preferable Basic ability to convey information. Limited experience in adapting messages for different audiences Strong Understanding: Proficient in using Cost Planning Software and aware of its application, CostX is preferable
