About the role | Mō te tūranga We are seeking an experienced senior credit leader who sets the standard for excellence across the Credit Analyst function, driving strong credit outcomes through robust governance, continuous improvement, and alignment with policies, frameworks, and expectations set by the Head of Agri Credit Analysts, NZ. The Senior Manager, Credit Analysts plays a pivotal leadership role within the Region, leading a front-line Credit Analyst team to deliver high‑quality, timely, and consistent credit analysis and submissions. In addition to leading the Credit Analyst function, the role also has responsibility for the leadership and development of Relationship Analysts, with a focus on capability uplift, performance, and the value they add to Rural Managers and clients. Providing first-line credit leadership across the Region(s), the role is accountable for identifying best practice, shaping credit standards, and embedding effective, fit‑for‑purpose procedures. It works in close partnership with peers across the business and under the guidance of the Head of Agri Credit Analysts, NZ. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage regional Credit Analyst workflow, quality, and turnaround times, acting as the key escalation point for credit-related matters. Coach, develop, and lead a high-performing regional Credit Analyst team, role modelling Rabobank values and contributing to the Regional Senior Leadership Team. Embed strong credit risk culture, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and take ownership of regional prudential performance. Drive continuous improvement, capability uplift, and strong collaboration with Relationship teams and key stakeholders. Take ownership of regional prudential performance and policy guidance. About you | Ō pūkenga You are a confident and collaborative credit leader with a strong focus on quality, people development, and prudent risk management, who thrives in a values‑driven, relationship‑based banking environment. Experience Minimum 5+ years’ experience in banking, finance, or agribusiness in a senior credit or finance management role. Agribusiness experience preferred but not essential. Knowledge Strong expertise in rural banking and credit writing. In-depth understanding of lending services, credit policy, and procedures. Broad knowledge of financial products, including loans, deposits, and derivatives. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related applications. Skills & Capabilities Advanced financial analysis and interpretation of moderately complex financial statements. Ability to write high-quality, moderately complex credit submissions with limited support. Strong risk identification and mitigation capability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail with a focus on reducing rework. Proven relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders. Strong planning, organisational, and workflow management skills. Demonstrated ability to lead change and positively influence others. Responsibilities
