The Data Engineering team builds the foundation that powers analytics, AI, and strategic business decisions through robust data platforms, pipelines, and governance policies. We are seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead the design, development, and continual improvement of our data solutions. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership, guiding a high-performing team to deliver reliable, timely, and trusted data that drives business impact. Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of data pipelines, datasets, and metrics critical to business decisions. Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing data engineering team. Define strategies for data acquisition, collection, and utilization across the organization. Establish and manage SLAs for all production datasets and processes. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Analysts, and Data Scientists to develop and maintain data-driven systems. Develop self-service reporting and democratization layers to empower teams with data. Troubleshoot, code, test, and document solutions to ensure quality and reliability. Evaluate current processes to optimize interdepartmental communication, collaboration, and end-to-end process performance. Define technology roadmaps and manage incremental execution to achieve short- and long-term business goals. Serve as a key leader within the Data and Analytics organization, fostering a data-driven culture. Comply with company policies and standards while performing additional duties as needed. Travel up to 5% as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical field. Eight (8) plus years in data engineering (data platforms, ingestion, management, or analytics). Three (3) plus years in leadership roles building and managing high-performing teams.2+ years experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Composer, GCS, DataStream, and Dataflows.Proven track record of progressive responsibility starting as a Data Engineer, advancing to higher levels of complexity and ownership. Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and reverse complex engineering solutions. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, translating complex technical material for management and stakeholders. Experience defining roadmaps, managing incremental execution, and delivering successful launches. Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in an Agile, fast-paced environment. Experience mentoring and growing data engineers. Critical thinking, advanced problem-solving, and a proactive approach to improving processes. Additional Information In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $96,404.1 and $169,021.85. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
