[What the role is] What the role is Senior/Manager (Data Governance) supports Deputy Director (Data Governance) in developing and implementing data policies, procedures and standards to ensure secure and efficient management and use of data in the Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA). He/she will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive data strategy, quality, and protection across the agency. [What you will be working on] What will you be working on Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures Assist to identify strengths and gaps in data governance, and collaborate with relevant divisions to strengthen data governance framework to enhance effective data management Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations Support incident management related to data breaches Develop and drive implementation of data standards, conceptual data models, and data management protocols Work with cross-functional teams to improve data quality metrics across the agency. Monitor and report to senior management on data governance metrics and KPIs Safeguard data integrity through conducting regular data audits, risk assessments and compliance checks for critical data sets. Implement measures to mitigate risks related to data security, integrity, and misuse. Facilitate resolution of data-related issues and conflicts Conduct training programmes on data policies and principles to build capabilities on best data practices across the agency Ensure data policies are effectively communicated and implemented to relevant stakeholders What are we looking for Trained in data management, data science, analytics, Information Management, or a related field. Preferably a minimum of 2 years’ experience in data governance, data management, or related fields, preferably with experience in public sector and/or healthcare setting. Familiar with IM8 and data protection, and governance principles and processes would be an advantage Strong interpersonal skills to effectively foster a culture of data stewardship and collaborate Ability to work effectively in a team and in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent oral and written communications skills Adaptability and openness to change, as well as the ability to navigate and mitigate resistance to new practices Committed to their work with a proactive and resilient attitude.
