As the senior manager of Consumer Analytics within the broader Brand organization, you will be managing a team responsible for conducting complex analyses to deliver critical insights that guide strategic decisions across the consumer domain, to include marketing, media, product, digital and loyalty. We are looking for an individual with strong analytical acumen and a consulting mindset to serve as a trusted thought partner for teams across the Starbucks Support Center. The successful candidate for this role will thrive in a highly cross-functional working environment, possess strong analysis and insights generation capabilities, be comfortable presenting to senior leaders, and have the intellectual curiosity to dive deep into complex problems. As a senior manager, Decision Science, you will Lead a team of decision scientists - You will manage a portfolio of projects across multiple domains, prioritize your team's capacity to support the most critical needs for the enterprise, and support decision scientists in their career development. Oversee data analysis and manipulation of complex data sets - You will ensure your team consistently delivers findings with high statistical rigor and analytical quality, supervising analytical methodologies to ensure they are appropriate and sound, applying strong attention to detail to spot issues and support resolution. Craft compelling narratives backed by data - You will coach your team and collaborators to synthesize analytical findings into actionable recommendations, producing relevant visualizations and narratives. You will have strong executive presence and present to and discuss insights with business stakeholders, up to and including senior leadership. Develop frameworks and methodologies for new analytical challenges - You will identify opportunities to innovate in methodologies and process, approaching new data capabilities and business problems with curiosity. We'd love to hear from people with: Bachelor's degree or higher with quantitative emphasis: Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Psychology, or related field; Masters preferred 7 or more years related experience applying analytics to complex business questions Proficiency with data querying (SQL) and experience with a scripting language (Python or R) Excellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills Proven ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects and competing priorities with minimal guidance and high attention to detail 8 or more years of experience managing a team As a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits.
