The Enterprise Technology Services organization partners with every part of the American Express business to power the company’s growth and innovation with trust and efficiency, and drive competitive differentiation with speed. Specifically, our team is responsible for the company’s technology engineering, architecture, and infrastructure, providing 24x7 support to ensure an uninterrupted, high-quality experience for customers and colleagues. We also provide product management for core enterprise platforms, and lead technology risk and information security, enterprise data governance and platforms, digital product and design, and enterprise AI platforms on behalf of the company. This role sits within the Enterprise Platforms & Technology Business Enablement Cross Platform Delivery Team and is responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of large, complex technology initiatives that span multiple platforms, teams, and business domains. The Delivery Manager will operate in close collaboration with engineering, product, architecture, NPD , and business stakeholders, driving alignment, clarity, and execution across a highly dynamic environment. A key focus of the role is enabling successful delivery of technology modernization and migration initiatives, requiring strong technical acumen, disciplined program management practices, and the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks across interconnected systems and dependencies. The role demands exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to translate complex technical efforts into clear business outcomes and ensure alignment at all levels of the organization. This individual will leverage structured delivery practices, including detailed project planning, RAID management, and data-driven reporting, alongside agile methodologies to ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes and continuous value delivery.
