Columbia Basin Trust is seeking a collaborative and results-driven leader to guide a dedicated team. As a senior manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and reporting on the Trust’s Delivery of Benefits (DOB) sector and program work. This role also involves strategic engagement with key stakeholders, oversight of third-party relationships and providing visionary leadership to a dynamic team within the DOB department.

This is a regular, full-time position based out of any of our four offices: Castlegar, Cranbrook, Nakusp or Golden. Travel is required.
The salary range for this position is $121,000 – $142,200.

Reporting to the Director, Delivery of BenefitsSpecial Initiatives, the successful candidate will:

  • Lead strategic planning and execution of multiple DOB initiatives and programs.
  • Develop and monitor program budgets and forecasts.
  • Negotiate agreements and resolve emergent community issues.
  • Represent the Trust at public meetings and adjudicate grant applications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with elected officials, First Nations, and community groups.
  • Manage contracts and ensure compliance with financial policies.
  • Conduct research and prepare reports on policy and strategic issues.
  • Supervise staff, conduct evaluations, and provide coaching and leadership.

We are looking for an individual with:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in public administration, business, public policy, economics, political science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and lived or professional experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in administering and managing public programs, including substantial leadership experience in a senior role.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, developing policies, managing contracts and fostering team leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and research skills.
  • A commitment to collaborative and consultative processes and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
