WHAT YOU’LL BRING

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Design Expertise: Postgraduate qualifications in architecture, interior design, urban design, or related fields, with extensive experience in strategic space planning within large, complex organisations.
  • Leadership: A proven ability to lead change, manage multiple complex projects, and inspire stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced capabilities in interpreting business needs, developing project briefs, and delivering space analytics and reporting tools.
  • Communication: Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills across diverse client groups.
  • Sector Knowledge: A strong understanding of the Australian higher education sector and sustainable building design solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with tools like AutoCAD, Archibus, Syllabus Plus, and Maximo.

Responsibilities

As a senior leader in the IFS unit, you’ll report directly to the Associate Director, Estate Strategy & Planning, and play a pivotal role in optimising the University’s campuses. You will:

  • Lead the development of strategic briefs, master plans, precinct plans, and design/occupancy standards.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment with the University’s vision and goals.
  • Spearhead space management strategies to maximise the use of campus spaces.
  • Provide assurance on project delivery to align with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with Colleges and Divisions across all campuses to optimise space utilisation, ensuring environments are effectively aligned with operational needs and strategic goals.
