As Shamal Holding continues to grow, we’re in search of a Senior Manager - Digital Infrastructure & DevOps. You will play a pivotal role in transforming our technology operations from traditional stability-focused models to agile, automated, and AI-ready infrastructure. This role addresses emerging infrastructure and security challenges by embedding security into design, accelerating delivery cycles, and building scalable, cloud-first platforms. The role ensures our infrastructure is not only efficient today but also future-ready for digital business models.
Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven track record in leading cloud-based, automated service delivery initiatives, with a strong focus on simplification, agility, and customer experience.
  • Hands-on experience in infrastructure service delivery, integrating digital solutions across cloud platforms, workplace services, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Professional certifications in cloud architecture, DevOps, cybersecurity, and IT service management give high differentiation.
  • Skilled in supplier and contract management, with a demonstrated ability to oversee third-party service providers and ensure value-driven outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in driving digital service transformation through innovation, including the implementation of AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their practical application in achieving strategic business objectives.
  • Proven ability in change management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and digital growth areas.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; MBA preferred, with relevant certifications in diverse technologies evidencing growth mindset.
  • Experience as Head of Service Management/Infrastructure Management/Workplace Services or equivalent position in a global environment.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the field of IT, with a focus on digital transformation, At least 7 years of progressive leadership experience
Responsibilities

STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the transformation of infrastructure towards cloud-first, hybrid, and AI-integrated platforms.
  • Develop and execute a roadmap for digital infrastructure modernisation aligned with business strategy.
  • Champion DevOps and agile methodologies to enable continuous delivery and rapid innovation.
  • Embed security into infrastructure design through DevSecOps principles.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, application, and cybersecurity teams to drive digital enablement.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the delivery of scalable, resilient, and automated infrastructure services.
  • Implement predictive monitoring and proactive incident management using modern tooling.
  • Drive simplification and automation across infrastructure operations and service management.
  • Ensure seamless integration of infrastructure with Edge AI platforms and digital workplace tools.
  • Manage vendor relationships and service delivery across cloud, hardware, and software domains.

FINANCIALS RESPONSIBILITIES (CAPEX AND OPEX BUDGETS INCL. MANPOWER COSTS):

  • Manage an AED 10 million budget across cloud services, software tools, hardware, and vendor contracts.
  • Ensure cost-effective spending and optimise resource allocation across infrastructure domains.
  • Track and report infrastructure and service management expenses to maximise business value.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through automation, consolidation, and strategic sourcing.
  • Support financial planning and forecasting aligned with digital transformation initiatives.

PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 8 engineers and service professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote collaboration between infrastructure, application, cybersecurity, and product teams.
  • Drive capability building in cloud, DevOps, and AI infrastructure practices.
  • Support change management and team readiness for agile and digital ways of working.
