Employee and Workplace Relations is responsible for management of the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS)’s industrial relations program, the management of employee relations issues including employee conduct, the Human Resource Business Partnerships, and administration of the internal review of actions process.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Senior Manager, Employee Investigations leads a highly motivated team of investigators to conduct timely and high-quality misconduct investigations across the department. They also build and maintain critical relationships with senior departmental executives and external stakeholders to resolve complex investigation issues and to achieve departmental outcomes.

Some of your other duties will include:

  • Preparing and overseeing purposeful investigation reports that withstand rigorous scrutiny and independent challenge.
  • Analysing, negotiating and managing complex improvement initiatives and change management processes relating to investigations.
  • Communicating vision and set clear strategic direction for the Employee Investigations team.

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Advanced experience in managing a high performing team in a complex investigation’s environment.
  • Extensive experience in undertaking complex and sensitive employee investigations consistent with the relevant legislative and industrial requirements.
  • An understanding of the VPS Agreement and reportable conduct scheme
