We have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and visionary Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Cat Foresight engineering team, as a part of the Cat Digital Application Engineering organization.
This position is perfect for a leader with a deep engineering expertise, polished executive presence, the ability to influence across all levels of the organization, and a passion for building high performance teams. You will shape technical strategy, mentor talent, and collaborate with senior leadership to deliver Cat Foresight’s expanded capabilities to support our customers through Contract Management, Repair and Rebuild planning, and Condition Monitoring to increase uptime.

SUMMARY PAY RANGE:

$169,320.00 - $253,920.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.

Responsibilities
  • Delivery Excellence: Oversee team software development activities, ensuring cyber safe, high quality, timely delivery of features leveraging traditional ML and analytic models, as well as Gen AI capabilities, that delight our users, and deliver business outcomes
  • Team Empowerment: Foster a culture of ownership, innovation and continuous growth, actively using AI in day-to-day work; Attract, mentor, and retain leaders and individual team members; Lead geographically dispersed development teams
  • Cross Functional Influence: Partner with Product, Analytics, Platform and Operations, to balance technical capabilities with business priorities
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present progress, challenges and opportunities, to senior leadership and partners with clarity and confidence.
  • Provides technical support, and direction to teams and team leaders. Acquires resources necessary to accomplish work on time.
  • Oversees performance of individual team members and team as a whole. Identifies and addresses staff training and development needs.
  • Coordinates walkthroughs and reviews; ensures conformance to standards and adherence to design specifications.
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Monitors and troubleshoots performance and schedule issues.
