Description
Your responsibilities will include Develop and maintain the Mechanical Structures sub-system/technology roadmap in alignment with platform, regional, and architecture strategies. Develop and apply advanced system models and predictive analyses at the sub-system level. Collaborate closely with System Integrators, Project Leaders, Manufacturing and Regional Marketing to ensure alignment and project success. Support architecture simplification and standardization to enable design efficiency and commonality. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 15+ years of progressive engineering experience in mechanical structures design and new product development with 5+ years of leading a technical team. Deep technical knowledge of mechanical systems and materials science. Ability to understand and predict the effects of variation on mechanical properties. Ability to run testing on physical samples to validate and correlate with math-physics models. Strong systems engineering mindset; ability to translate complex requirements into clear sub-system specifications. Proven track record of solving complex technical challenges and guiding cross-functional teams. Ability to use the sciences to practically solve problems in product development and project execution. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in global, cross-functional environments. Experience influencing major business decisions at executive levels. Applied experience with Lean Product Development, OPEX, and Design for Safety/Reliability principles. Ability to work from Monterrey, Mexico office. Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Knowledge and experience in the consumer products and refrigeration industry. Ability to develop and execute training and mentoring programs. Experience creating, maintaining and managing external partnerships for product development such as Universities and other external organizations Lean Six Sigma or equivalent certification.
