About the GBS Organization The Global Business Services (GBS) organization supports Booking Holdings’ brands by driving enterprise programs, change management, process excellence, and global process ownership. Within GBS, the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) plays a critical role in translating strategy into execution across complex, cross-functional initiatives. We are seeking a Senior Program Manager, EPMO to lead the Bangalore-based EPMO team and act as a trusted strategic partner to senior leaders across the enterprise. Role Overview The Senior Program Manager, EPMO is a senior leadership role responsible for guiding and developing a team of program and project management professionals while shaping how enterprise initiatives are governed and delivered. As a primary liaison to executive stakeholders, this role ensures clear prioritization of strategic initiatives, effective risk management, and disciplined execution. This role brings structure to ambiguity, translates vision into action, and ensures that the most critical programs are funded, de-risked, and embedded into operations with measurable outcomes. Key Responsibilities 1. Practice Leadership Leads, coaches, and develops the Bangalore-based EPMO team, fostering a high-performance, growth-oriented culture. Strengthens the program management practice by institutionalizing recognized methodologies (Agile, PMI, PRINCE2, LEAN) and setting quality standards that influence the wider organization. 2. Portfolio Governance Designs and operates robust governance structures in partnership with senior stakeholders to ensure accountability, transparency, and disciplined decision-making. Prioritizes the portfolio roadmap based on business needs to ensure initiatives directly support GBS strategic objectives. 3. Vision Deployment Translates executive vision into clear, measurable, end-to-end implementation plans. Defines KPIs, success metrics, and delivery roadmaps for complex transformational initiatives, providing clarity in ambiguous environments and reinforcing the purpose behind change. 4. Financial Stewardship Owns the EPMO’s financial planning and resource allocation. Leads business case development and budget management to maximize value realization and ensure critical initiatives are funded and executed effectively. 5. Dependency & Risk Management Identifies and manages portfolio-level risks and cross-functional dependencies. Drives alignment and issue resolution across teams to ensure timely delivery, smooth go-lives, and effective transitions into operations. 6. Executive Steering & Change Enablement Provides senior leadership with clear, timely insights on program health, risks, and outcomes to support informed decision-making. Partners closely with Organizational Change Management to ensure the organization is prepared for and aligned to complex transformations. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Education Bachelor’s Degree – Required Master’s Degree – Preferred Experience 12+ years of relevant experience in enterprise program, portfolio, or PMO leadership roles Demonstrated experience leading and developing program management teams Proven ability to operate in complex, matrixed, global environments Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong people leadership capability, including coaching, performance management, and talent development Advanced expertise in enterprise program and portfolio governance Financial acumen, including business case development, budget ownership, and value realization Ability to influence, negotiate, and build alignment with senior stakeholders across functions High comfort with ambiguity and the ability to create structure, clarity, and momentum Clear, credible communicator who uses data and insight to drive decisions and change Our Commitment to Inclusion Through our brands, we help people experience the world in all its diversity.
