Job Description Your Opportunity As our Senior Manager, Finance Risk, Controls & Governance, you’ll lead the development and uplift of Finance risk, controls and governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while strengthening accountability across the function. This role is critical in building Line 1 risk capability from the ground up within Finance, leveraging enterprise frameworks and embedding them into day-to-day operations. You’ll play a key role in supporting Cuscal’s strategic goals and delivering value to Finance leadership and the broader business. You’ll also make an impact by: Establishing and maintaining Finance risk, control and governance frameworks Building a 12–18 month roadmap to uplift Finance risk and control capability Establishing the Line 1 risk structure within Finance, aligned to enterprise frameworks Capturing, reviewing and interrogating existing controls to improve effectiveness Identifying control gaps and driving remediation across Finance Partnering with stakeholders to embed risk management practices and support regulatory compliance Qualifications What you’ll bring To succeed in this role, you’ll have: Proven experience in risk, controls, governance, audit or compliance roles (7+ years) Experience building or uplifting risk and control frameworks within a business function Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to assess and challenge existing controls Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Bachelor's degree in: Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, Law Professional certifications: CPA, CA, CIA You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have: Experience establishing Line 1 risk capability or operating models Experience in financial services or an APRA-regulated environment Knowledge of FAR and APRA prudential standards Experience supporting transformation or governance uplift initiatives Additional Information Why Cuscal?
