Description

Overview:
The Senior Manager of FP&A is a key member of the MedQuest team and integral to the operations and strategic decision-making of the company. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this individual will provide visibility and leadership toward the achievement of short and long-term financial goals as a key advisor to the business. As part of a rapidly growing company, the Senior Manager of FP&A will be expected to not only maintain and improve the existing process, reporting and results, but quickly and effectively build new financial capabilities for the benefit of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly supports the MedQuest Finance team with complex ad-hoc and recurring analyses, including budgeting, operational KPI refinement, and company’s growth plan
  • Leads financial planning and reporting systems strategy as SME
  • Develops a deep understanding of business drivers, provide financial data, and develop insights to MedQuest executives, Regional VPs, center managers, and marketing
  • Partners with operations leaders in our core markets and central support functions to measure and enhance critical metrics of business performance
  • Directly oversees multiple recurring workstreams (e.g., support for month end close, KPI refinement), and one-time projects
  • Partners with accounting function related to monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
  • Assists VP of Finance in preparation of financial presentations to Executives, Board, and other stakeholders
  • Provides thought leadership in financial systems; enable success of new NetSuite ERP
  • Regularly goes beyond the initial scope of projects to identify and execute on additional opportunities for improvement or insight
  • Delivers capital project reporting, to help the organization in understanding return on capital spend, results relative to plan, and capital efficiency
  • Builds models and other tools to automate or semi-automate business processes and reporting based on specific needs of the finance team and other department leaders
  • Manages a team of Financial Analysts, Sr. Financial Analysts, and/or Managers

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ years of progressive financial planning, analysis, and modeling, ideally in FP&A and/or accounting at a growth-oriented company
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting or Economics or, equivalent experience required, with a MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Experience with a big 4 accounting, investment banking or private equity firms preferred.
  • Previous experience with NetSuite ERP and NetSuite Planning and Budgeting preferred.
  • Previous experience with healthcare preferred.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Strong finance, accounting, and operations background and the ability to harness knowledge to navigate complex financial issues.
  • Willingness to dive into details while maintaining sight of the bigger picture will be critical to deriving insights to business partners.
  • Strong leadership and balance is required to manage multiple financial initiatives, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, market-specific business driver analyses, and other various projects.
  • Strong skills in the areas of financial systems, process development, communication, presentation, and financial analysis are required.
