Role reports to: Director - Data Science & Digital Solutions Location: Asia Pacific, India, Karnataka, Bangalore Work Location: Hybrid What you will do Role Objective As the Senior Manager of Forecasting, you will be the primary architect and leader of Kenvue’s Forecasting and Analytics You will lead the transition from traditional, historical-based planning to an agile, AI-enabled forecasting ecosystem. Your goal is to establish standardized global methodologies, drive cross-functional consensus, and leverage advanced predictive analytics to minimize stockouts and excess inventory across a multi-billion-dollar portfolio. In addition to forecast leadership, the Sr. Manager will drive adhoc analytics, synthesizing primary research, secondary data, and performance trends into clear actionable insights that inform strategic decisions. This is a highly visible role that regularly engages senior commercial, Supply Chain Leadership to communicate forecast expectations, performance drivers, and business implications. Key Responsibilities COE Leadership & Strategy: Design and implement a centralized Forecasting CoE for a large-scale CPG environment. Define global standards for statistical modelling, forecast error measurement, and governance frameworks. Operational Excellence: Oversee end-to-end forecasting operations, including short-range demand sensing and long-range strategic planning. Ensure high-quality data inputs by managing historical data corrections, outliers, and Master Data integrity. Stakeholder & Consensus Management: Act as a strategic bridge between Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain. Translate complex analytical findings into actionable business insights for executive leadership. Advanced Analytics & Innovation: Integrate AI/ML models and automation tools (e.g., Anaplan, Blue Yonder, or internal agentic platforms) to enhance predictive accuracy. Implement "what-if" scenario modelling to assess the financial impact of promotions, price changes, and supply disruptions. Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and data analysts fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making. Lead a high performing team of data scientists and engineers to achieve objectives while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning Evaluate domain needs (R&D, Manufacturing, Commercial) into prioritized roadmaps; communicate technical trade-offs to stakeholders Oversee the development, validation, and deployment of AI enabled forecasting models Partner with enterprise teams to curate, clean, and transform internal and external datasets for use in forecasting models Certify team compliance with ethical AI practices, regulatory requirements, and data governance standards Ensure methodological consistency in data exploration and model building with well documented assumptions, explainability and reproducibility Implement best practices for MLOps for model deployment and monitoring Experiment with cutting edge technology such as generative AI, transformers, and other techniques to improve model metrics Translate forecasting outputs into business-ready insights for decision-makers in R&D, finance, and commercial functions Optimize cost and ROI trade-off to deliver high impact outputs (GPU/CPU utilization, memory allocation, tech overhead) Success in this role requires strong analytical depth, the ability to translate complex findings into compelling narratives, and a proven track record of building, coaching, and developing teams. The Senior Manager must excel at cross functional collaboration and influence, working seamlessly across Marketing, Sales, Finance, Market access and Supply Chain. The role will also support pipeline evaluations and commercial assessments as needed. Required Qualifications & Skills Experience: Minimum of 12 years in forecasting, commercial analytics, or demand planning, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Nice to have financial forecasting experience Proven experience delivering large-scale forecasting solutions that drive measurable business outcomes Proven track record of establishing a CoE or leading major digital transformation projects in a large CPG/FMCG organization. Technical Proficiency: Mastery of advanced Excel and statistical tools. Hands-on experience with Enterprise Planning Systems (e.g., Anaplan, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder/JDA) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Expert in Python and relevant ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) Advanced proficiency in designing, evaluating, and applying a variety of supervised and unsupervised machine learning models to drive business value Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or Business. An MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain/Analytics is highly preferred. Competencies: Exceptional strategic thinking, data storytelling, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a complex, matrixed environment.
