  • Subject matter expertise across the discipline of fraud and financial crime risks
  • Appropriate knowledge of products, in particular investment banking
  • Excellent knowledge of risk operations and compliance processes and ensuring the management of these within a regulated financial services environment

  • Competent managing stakeholders at a variety of levels recognising potential disparities in level of understanding of financial crime risk management

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Fraud Investigation Manager to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London.
As the Senior Fraud Investigation Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing all aspects of fraud detection, prevention, and investigation. This is a senior leadership position where you will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and preventing fraudulent activities that may impact the business. You will work with cross-functional teams, law enforcement, and external agencies to ensure the organisation remains secure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provision of subject matter expertise on fraud and financial crime related threats, risks, and issues both to internal stakeholders within the business and as required
  • Provide oversight to ensure that the client’s fraud and financial crime processes and controls are satisfactory and operating in line with risk appetite
  • Help perform the current state assessment to understand the fraud, Legislation, Regulations and Guidance, Obligation Register, Policies, Procedures, Technology controls, Lineage, Data Quality, and metrics
  • Develop the client’s recommendations and implementation plan and support them across the end-to-end journey
  • Develop the future Fraud Operating Model (Policy, Procedures, Controls, MI/Reporting, Monitoring, and Testing)
