Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

As a senior manager within the Benchmarks Compliance Team at FTSE Russell, you will manage the compliance program to mitigate compliance risk, provide regulatory advice, and ensure adherence to regulations. You will design risk assessments, develop expert knowledge of regulations, and serve as a business partner. Additionally, you will support the Head of Compliance in building relationships with stakeholders and regulators globally and coach junior staff within the function.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Manages the provision of compliance program to support FTSE Russell business in managing its compliance risk, this includes providing regulatory advice, monitoring adherence
  • Supporting the delivery of compliance risk assessments, risk appetite statements, policies, procedures and controls
  • Provides constructive challenge and oversees activity undertaken by the business to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, frameworks and policies. This can include the analysis of findings and reporting of results
  • Designs Compliance risk assessments for FTSE Russell, aligned with Group requirements and delivers and drives results to manage compliance risk
  • Develops expert knowledge and expertise to become the SME for regulations in respect of benchmark and indices and keeps abreast of the impact of the latest regulatory developments in that area, effectively acting as a business partner
  • Support the Head of Compliance FTSE in developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, globally and regionally, including as the primary communications channel between the regulated businesses and their regulators.
  • Represents Compliance in both business and governance committees
  • Regulatory interactions: managing ongoing relationships with the FCA and other regulators, where applicable, including regulatory notifications and responses to regulatory enquiries
  • Coaches more junior Compliance staff within the function including mentoring, training and monitoring quality of work (where applicable).
