QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or comparable qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, ideally in a leadership role within an international company.
  • Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS as well as experience with monthly and annual financial reportings.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP ERP or similar systems.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • High level of self-ownership and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (minimum C1) are required.
  • Leadership experience and teamwork skills, combined with the ability to effectively manage change.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic and operational leadership of General Ledger: Overseeing accounting processes and ensuring their adherence and optimization.
  • Reporting and analysis: Preparing reports and ad-hoc analyses to support the Head of Accounting as well as company management.
  • Leading monthly reporting: Ensuring the timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS.
  • Leading the General Accounting Team: Disciplinary and professional leadership and development of the four-person group accounting team, including a disciplinary team lead.
  • Process improvement: Identifying optimization potential and implementing more efficient workflows in the finance area.
  • Project management: Leading or supporting strategic projects in the accounting area, including system migrations or integration projects.
  • Coordination with auditors and external partners: Acting as the liaison with auditors and consultants to ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
