THE POSITION

Drive the future of global security at Boehringer Ingelheim, leading projects and initiatives that enhance our security strategy worldwide. As a subject matter expert, you will drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of security services including security operations, policies and standards that protect our people and assets. Based in our dynamic and collaborative environment, you’ll deliver global security standards that truly add value to our business, influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
The position can be filled either as Manager Global Security or as Senior Manager Global Security.

REQUIREMENTS

• Armed with a Master’s Degree in a security-related field, you’re adept at conflict management and uphold a strong ethical code.
• Your comprehensive knowledge in protecting employees, assets, and business processes is coupled with resilience and intercultural competency.
• Experience in Corporate Security including topics on supply chain security, security site operation, security audits, ect.
• You’re fluent in English and basic German, with any additional languages as a bonus.
• Top-notch MS Office skills and exceptional negotiation abilities define you.

As Senior Manager Global Security, you additionally have:

• Proven experience in min. 2 security capabilities.Instructions and coaching of colleagues and external.

• Drive the strategic and tactical management associated with the protection of Boehringer’s people and assets.
• Serves as subject matter expert expert/advisor for the business, globally.
• Drawing on your experience, you’ll drive innovation and participate in digitalization projects, fostering an agile security culture.
• You’ll deliver global security standards into the working processes of internal and external partners, adding true business value and acting as a business enabler.
• You’ll act as a security topic lead, building a global network of security experts, and supporting Global Security Heads and Local Security Managers to ensure adherence to Boehringer’s standards.
• Identify and collaborate with working partners, (e.g. HR, Legal, Supply Chain, IT, Quality, Compliance, Communications) to define process standardization for end-to-end service delivery.
• In case of security incidents, you’ll manage the situation, support crisis management, and prepare necessary cooperation between internal and external partners to ensure a minimum level of agreed preventive measures.

As Senior Manager Global Security, you additionally take over the following tasks:

• You’ll identify optimization potentials and develop proposals to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our security services, strategies and processes.
• You’ll take on a leadership role in sharing best practices and fostering a community of security professionals, while aligning user requirements with stakeholders across the globe.
