JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting directly to the AVP, Governance and Control, Canadian Business Banking, the Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in leading a dedicated team responsible for the end-to-end Risk Control Self Assessment mandate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification and documentation of risks and controls across business processes.
  • Oversee the design and operational effectiveness testing of controls, including gap and issue assessments and related remediation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, business partners, other Governance & Control leads, and Risk and Control partners to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Drive change management initiatives, guiding the team through evolving operational risk management standards and expectations.
  • Elevate the profile of the G&C team by delivering strong partnerships and providing deep expertise in risk and controls.
  • Foster a team environment and culture that encourages productivity, innovation, process improvement, and professionalism.

About You:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in risk and controls.
  • Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a dynamic environment.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Deep industry and business knowledge and expertise on risk and control functions
  • Professional designation, such as CPA, CA, LLB and/or MBA preferred
  • 10 years of relevant industry and governance, risk, audit, internal control and/or compliance experience
