Role Purpose This role sits in the Government Relations & Regulatory Strategy (GRRS) APAC team and is central to anticipating, developing and implementing advocacy strategies to influence the policy environment in which LSEG operates. You will help to advance LSEG’s policy/regulatory agenda and profile with key stakeholders, within ASEAN and Australia. You will also act as a strategic adviser on policy, regulatory, reputational and geopolitical issues impacting our business, our customers, and the markets we operate in. Role Responsibilities: Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and relevant government agencies. Develop and implement advocacy and engagement strategies to shape policy and regulation, including via consultation responses, engagement plans, coalition building and using commercial partnerships. Anticipate, analyse, and communicate policy, legislative, regulatory, and political developments that impact the Group’s strategic and business priorities. Represent LSEG at relevant events, roundtables and working groups. Collaborate with the Global GRRS team and the Corporate Affairs and Marketing function on key Group-wide initiatives and projects. What you'll bring: A good understanding of the political and financial services regulatory frameworks of ASEAN markets and/or Australia. Good political acumen and a strong understanding regional dynamics and trends. Experience engaging with regulators in South East Asia. Outstanding written and spoken communication skills. Ability to quickly understand technical issues and explain them simply to a range of internal and external parties. External: Politicians, policymakers, regulators, central bankers, customer and competitor peers, industry bodies, academics and think tanks.
