Government relations and regulatory strategy (GRRS) GRRS’s mission is to advance LSEG’s policy agenda and profile with key policy stakeholders as well as serve as a strategic adviser on reputational issues and business initiatives. Our work is focused around four pillars: advocacy, engagement, thought leadership and advisory. We partner with business divisions and functions as well as with our colleagues in the Corporate Affairs & Marketing Division to position LSEG as a trusted resource and thought leader with key decision-makers on policy issues impacting the future of our industry. The GRRS team is truly global, comprised of nearly 30 professionals across 11 LSEG offices globally, with team members speaking 16 languages across 14 different nationalities. What you'll be doing Reporting to the Head of Europe, the Senior Manager GRRS Europe is responsible for driving strategies to influence policy, legislative, and regulatory outcomes to support the Group’s business and strategic objectives in the region principally on the wide range of post-trade issues through: Leading advocacy and strategy on post-trade priorities across the UK, EU, and global standard setters (IOSCO, FSB), focusing on regulations for CCPs, CSDs, and regulatory reporting, while supporting GRRS’s European strategy. Monitoring and communicating policy and regulatory developments affecting post-trade priorities across Europe, with strategies to influence outcomes. Building and managing LSEG’s network of key stakeholders in London, Brussels, and Paris, including policymakers, regulators, and industry experts. Advising on key political and regulatory engagements across Europe. Collaborating with the Global GRRS team and the wider Corporate Affairs and Marketing team on key Group-wide initiatives and projects. What you’ll bring Strong political and strategic skills; capacity to handle and grow deep and positive relationships with LSEG’s key partners across UK and Europe. Deep understanding of post-trade regulations including EMIR, CSDR, SFTR, UK equivalents, and global standards. Experienced in EU and UK policymaking and institutional frameworks. Understanding of geopolitical factors influencing business operations and strategic positioning, Effective communicator with strong presentation skills. Collaborative team player who works effectively across all levels and delivers on deadlines. Key relationships and committees Internal: Senior level strategic engagement across breadth and depth of Group, including ExCo and divisional senior management, regional heads of divisions and businesses, function specific stakeholders on key issues. External: Politicians, policymakers, regulators, central bankers, customer and competitor peers, industry bodies, academics and think tanks in Brussels primarily but also other EU capitals.
