As the superannuation landscape continues to evolve with increased regulatory expectations, technological disruption and shifting member needs, our ability to respond with clarity, speed and accountability is critical.  The Senior Manager, Group Risk  Governance plays a key role in strengthening governance foundations and enabling the Group Risk function to deliver its strategic and regulatory responsibilities. Reporting to the Head of Risk & Governance Advisory, you will work  across Group Risk globally to design and implement a fit for purpose  governance model for Group Risk, uplift processes and support leadership to embed a strong accountability mindset.    Your New Role  You will partner closely with the CRO, the Group Risk Senior Leadership Team, and cross‑functional stakeholders to drive effective governance, deliver planned priorities and support Group Risk through material programs of work. You will apply deep knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry governance standards to implement an efficient and effective governance model.  Key duties include but are not limited to;  * Ensuring that the Group Risk governance model is designed and operated efficiently and effectively    * Partnering with the CRO and Group Risk SLT to develop the Group Risk Business Plan aligned to Fund‑wide strategy and support delivery of agreed plans and budgets.  * Leading execution of FAR‑related responsibilities for the CRO, including designing. convening and coordinating governance forums and monitoring reasonable steps.  * Building high‑performance and accountability by aligning team priorities to Fund outcomes, resolving operational issues proactively and driving disciplined execution.  * Embedding risk management practices and psychological safety in team operations, promoting prudent, evidence‑based decision‑making and alignment to the Risk Management Framework.  * Coaching, developing and supporting team capability, fostering a safe environment for feedback, growth and continuous improvement.  * Leading teams confidently through change, encouraging adaptive thinking, innovation and cross‑functional collaboration.  * Strengthening internal and external relationships, collaborating with Line 1 risk and governance teams and engaging stakeholders to co‑create effective risk, compliance and governance solutions.     What You’ll Need  * Accreditation in Risk Management from RMIA, GIA or similar, or willingness to obtain one upon joining AustralianSuper.  * Deep experience in regulated industries, ideally financial services.  * Minimum 10 years’ experience across leadership, management and strategy roles.  * Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and translate regulatory requirements into practical implementation and sound   outcomes.  * Experience working with regulators or government stakeholders.  * Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.  * Ability to challenge and guide senior leaders with confidence and sound judgement.  * Skilled communicator and relationship‑builder with the ability to influence and maintain trusted, enduring partnerships.  * Curiosity, creativity and a strong growth mindset, with proven capability to drive continuous improvement and innovation.     Life at AustralianSuper  AustralianSuper is committed to colleague development, and we support our people with ongoing learning, coaching and training, as well as career opportunities across our expanding global organisation.
