Overview & Responsibilities Position Summary: The Senior Manager GS Global Supply Chain is responsible for leading and integrating all aspects of the GS supply chain, focusing on process standardization and coordination across regions. Functions within the responsibility of the role include procurement, warehouse operations, and supplier quality. This role ensures that the supply chain operates as a synergized unit in support for Service Parts, Repairs, and Field Service Operations. This role will work closely with counterparts in other regions and EEE businesses to optimize global supply. It is also essential to coordinate closely with each Business Unit in support of their specific production schedules, cost targets, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with strong operational experience in a manufacturing and/or service environment. Key Responsibilities: Procurement: Develop and execute global sourcing strategies aligned with corporate objectives. Foster collaboration between regions, aligning regional supplier bases to support global EEE demand needs. Lead process standardization, global sourcing plans, contracts, and performance management of the team. Coordinates procurement activities leveraging the purchasing power across all EEE global service locations. Develop, implement, and maintain a robust global sourcing strategy. Direct demand cross-regionally based on factors such as cost, capability, quality, capacity, and sometimes avoidance of geopolitical disruptions. Manage risk across the supplier base, including capacity, financial stability, and geopolitical factors. Ensure adherence to ethical procurement practices, sustainability goals, and supplier diversity initiatives. Support dual/multi-sourcing strategies to improve supply continuity and mitigate disruptions. Own, manage, and maintain all GS procurement KPI’s relative to Procurement. Warehouse & Logistics: Align inventory management, receiving, storage, and material delivery to production lines / sales order demand globally. Implement common best practices for lean warehousing and just-in-time (JIT) delivery across global warehouses. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company policies across all warehouse operations. Drive continuous improvement in space utilization, throughput, and labor efficiency. Ensure standardized inventory control procedures and cycle count programs across global warehouses. Collaborate with operations (SVP, Repairs, FS, etc.) to ensure parts availability and reduce order fulfillment lead times. Own and maintain shipping & logistics strategies and processes. Focus on improving delivery speed while minimizing costs. Monitor tariff and duty exposure, minimizing or avoiding where possible. Manage import / export processes and requirements. Own, manage, and maintain all GS procurement KPI’s relative to Inventory / Warehouse Management. (e.g., inventory turns, order accuracy, warehouse productivity) to drive performance. Supplier Quality: Oversee new supplier development & onboarding strategies. Ensure adherence to EEE supplier qualification processes. Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to develop, maintain, and execute supplier quality standards and inspection protocols. Lead root cause analysis and corrective action strategies for supplier base. Monitor and audit supplier quality performance; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement. Develop global component inspection plans. Support new product launches with supplier readiness assessments and PPAP approvals (if applicable). Develop a global supplier scorecard system to track quality, on-time delivery, responsiveness, and issue resolution. Leadership & Strategy: Manage and develop a cross-functional team across procurement, warehouse, and supplier quality. Align regional operations with global supply chain goals and KPIs. Develop and manage departmental budget and performance metrics. Lead or support digital transformation initiatives, including ERP, bar coding, automation, and supply chain planning systems. Serve as a key escalation point for global supply chain issues, ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder alignment. Partner with repair, field service, and parts business leaders to proactively forecast and plan inventory needs. Develop and maintain supply chain procedures in the quality manual, ensuring team compliance. Develop strategic partnership with key suppliers (FWA, LTSA, MA, etc.) Assist Business Unit Managers to expand their scope of supply via enlarged suppliers network Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred). 10+ years of experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing/OEM environment. Proven leadership experience managing multi-site or global teams. Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supplier quality systems. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain analytics tools. Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience strongly preferred.
