The Senior Manager - Hardware & Commercial (AU), reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the operational, logistical and commercial management of Orikan’s technical hardware product lines (including parking meters, in-ground sensors, Touch-N-Go NFC terminals, hand held printers, license plate recognition cameras) in Australia. This role encompasses managing a small team responsible for leading the logistical procurement, warehousing, deployment, installation and maintenance of Orikan’s hardware parking services technologies.
Overseeing a budget +$8m, the role is also responsible for leading the negotiation and management of 3rd party contracts, ensuring commercially sound outcomes for Orikan, its customers and the communities we serve.
In close partnership with our customer account management team, technology, implementation and operational production teams across Orikan, the role will take accountability for:
Contract & Vendor Management – Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) ensuring a evaluation against the market, developing new contract services models as required and actively managing quality, timely delivery, and cost outcomes for manufacturers, telcos, logistics.
Client Engagement: manage relevant relationships with clients through deployment and ongoing maintenance phases of Orikan’s hardware providing reporting and regular updates that contribute to the continuing health of these partnerships
Commercial Contribution: Lead estimation & scheduling of new work for tender and bidding activities, including overseeing the delivery of new customer projects.
Logistics: Oversee the procurement, warehousing, deployment, installation, and maintenance of relevant hardware to ensure efficient logistical management and optimal performance in line with budget and cost-reduction targets
Leadership: Lead and manage a small team fostering a supportive, collaborative and high-performance work environment through setting clear goals, providing regular feedback and developing individual capability
Budget Management: Oversee and manage a budget of approximately $8 million, ensuring financial efficiency and alignment with organisational goals
Data Analysis: Collect and analyse data related to performance, resource utilisation, and financial metrics providing regular reporting on the same. Utilise data-driven insights to make informed decisions, optimise delivery, and drive continuous improvement activities
Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration and communication across the different delivery teams and departments within Orikan ensuring that activities and initiatives are aligned with each other and do not create conflicts, redundancies, or unnecessary expenditure
Technical Oversight: Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the management of Orikan’s hardware in AU, working closely with NZ colleagues to drive greater synergies across both geographical and product dimensions
