We are proudly part of Japan Post — www.tollgroup.com We’re looking for an influential Senior HSSE Manager to lead safety excellence across our Mining & Energy, Security Sensitive Transport (SST) and Ports operations. This role is ideal for a proven HSSE leader with strong behavioural‑based safety expertise and the ability to drive consistency, cultural uplift and operational discipline across multiple high‑risk environments. Ideally based in Perth, you’ll partner closely with senior leaders, frontline teams and key customers to embed best‑practice safety systems, strengthen performance, and build a proactive, mature safety culture across a geographically dispersed portfolio. About this key role: • Lead HSSE for a major national operation with significant safety complexity. • Shape and embed a strong behavioural‑based safety culture across diverse sites. • Influence at senior levels while remaining deeply connected to frontline operations. • Mentor and guide a high‑performing team of Regional HSSE Managers and Advisors. • Play a key role in evolving divisional HSSE systems, standards and strategy. • Join a business focused on innovation, continuous improvement and world‑class safety. What You’ll Lead & Deliver: • Champion a Safety Obsessed culture and coach leaders to drive meaningful behavioural change. • Provide practical, hands‑on HSSE support across multiple sites, including onsite engagement. • Lead the development and alignment of sector‑level HSSE plans, systems and frameworks. • Oversee compliance with legislation, industry standards and internal HSSE requirements. • Conduct audits, inspections and investigations (ICAM or equivalent). • Analyse incident and risk trends, developing targeted improvement strategies. • Manage HSSE communications, alerts, reporting and dashboard quality. • Support tenders, customer safety reviews and broader stakeholder engagement. • Oversee accuracy and governance of TRAC safety data. • Develop and deliver HSSE training, risk management guidance and emergency response capability. • Lead HSSE review forums and drive HSSE Improvement Plans. • Build strong relationships with internal leaders, clients, regulators and certification bodies. About You – Experience & Knowledge: • 5–7+ years’ experience in HSSE leadership role with a nationally dispersed team. • Background in heavy industry: transport, logistics, industrial operations or resources. • Experience supporting multi‑site or dispersed operational environments. • Strong understanding of operational HSSE challenges. • Skilled in stakeholder management and auditing. Skills & Capabilities: • Advanced knowledge of HSSE legislation, risk management and compliance frameworks. • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and report‑writing skills. • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret trends and influence action. • ICAM (or equivalent) investigation capability. • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
