Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director Employee and Workplace Relations, the incumbent is responsible for both the day-to-day management of the industrial relations function including work planning, as well as development and oversight of industrial relations strategy.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Providing management, guidance and leadership based on advanced expertise to a team of Industrial Relations professionals.
  • Being responsible for developing and implementing processes and quality standards which ensure the Industrial Relations team can meet all service objectives. This includes development of any necessary work plans, coordination of work allocation, reporting and analysis requirements.
  • Providing expert support and authoritative employment and industrial relations advice, which includes a clear assessment, consideration and articulation of risk, to executive and senior management stakeholders on a range of highly complex and sensitive employment issues.
