Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
As Senior Manager, your key role would be to lead some key Innovation & Enterprise functions at NHIC, including taking healthcare innovations from ideas to clinic and market, managing industry and international partnerships and talent development. This will involve setting up schemes and processes to manage projects and talent with the aim of achieving commercial success. You will also be involved in CRIS- and national-level projects and assignments.
You will play a key role in leading the team in commercial strategies to improve the success and value of NHIC schemes. This includes being a Cluster Lead for one of the Public Healthcare Clusters (PHCs) to facilitate the creation, development and commercialisation of Intellectual Property (IP) through licensing, spin-offs and other commercial pathways. You will be expected to establish partnerships with key stakeholders in government, venture, corporate and international communities to accelerate go-to-market strategies for our funded projects.
On a day-to-day basis, you will provide project management support and guidance to project teams supported by NHIC’s innovation, development and adoption schemes. The goal is to facilitate the translation of clinical research and innovation into commercial outcomes and healthcare transformation. You will support and manage assigned healthtech projects and deliverables, coordinate and conduct project reviews and evaluation panel meetings, review and evaluate project proposals and invention disclosures. You will work closely with various local government grant agencies, private sector and international partners to bring these projects closer to clinic and market.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Bioengineering, Engineering, Medicine, Biomedical Science or equivalent. Those with a PhD would have an advantage.
- 5-7 years of experience facilitating the translation and commercialisation of early innovations from the public healthcare sector into successful clinical and commercial outcomes. Experience to be coupled to programme, project and grant management.
- Strong grasp of business and IP strategies, regulatory and market entry requirements for medical technologies advantageous.
- Exhibit strong analytical ability with good problem-solving and management skills. Good discernment and judgement of complex situations is expected. Candidates should be proactive, responsible and detailed in their work. They should also show strong organisational, interpersonal, communication, presentation and writing skills.
- Candidates must be good team players and also able to work independently.
