This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office Senior Manager – Investment Accounting Shift - 6:30AM to 3:30PM What can you expect? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance and accountancy candidate to join our finance operation team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial reporting, compliance, and accounting functions within our organization, specifically tailored to the superannuation sector. Responsibilities include Bank Reconciliation, variance analysis, Fee validation, Journal Entries, fund accounting, corporate funding, reimbursements, cross-charges / intercompany reconciliation. This role is responsible for all internal reporting activities including liaison with Sub-Region Controllers, auditors, internal reporting teams, subject matter experts, Project team and Financial Auditors. Establish finance operational strategies by evaluating trends, establishing critical measurements, determining production, productivity, quality, and customer service strategies, designing systems, accumulating resources, resolving problems, aligning incentives, and driving change Be our subject matter expert on accounting and reporting issues, specifically revenue recognition Work in a fast-paced environment in a company with strong values Join a stable company and a well-respected global brand What is in it for you? Holidays (As Per the location) Shared Transport (Provided the address falls in service zone) All Benefits as per Company Policy We will count on you to: Technical Oversees and is responsible for the preparation of all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting activities (P&L, Balance sheet and Cash flow statements) in accordance with ANZ GAAP including management reports and variance analysis To ensure on time and high-quality preparation of technical and other presentation materials required Manages relationship with broader Controllership teams, other Finance functions including Tax, Treasury, internal audit and external auditors Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support CI initiatives, AI adoption etc. Expert in Bank reconciliation, Corporate fundings, reimbursements, Cross charge, month end closing process and good knowledge of Investment Trades, Investment options etc. Exercise management authority to make significant decisions and certain strategic decisions or recommendations within own area Responsible for setting effective cadence protocols to ensure on time and high-quality deliverables Builds strong understanding of the business of stakeholders including an understanding of their business operations, their priorities, risks and challenges sufficient to provide support to or on occasion step in for the Region/Sub-Region Controller Act as a subject matter expert on accounting and reporting issues and responds to inquiries by Controllers, Business Leaders and Auditors Review financial statements and provides guidance on disclosure Ensure implementation plans for new accounting standards, appropriately considers the Company's ongoing risk and compliance requirements Lead and Guide Act as the subject matter expert providing key support and advice in change management and on-going projects In consultation with business users, plan and implement changes to the GL in the areas of Chart of Account, configuration and general reporting Assist and support the Finance Systems & Support Manager with finance system issues and projects Note: Applicants should be ready to work in ANZ / Australia night shift What you need to have: Committed to quality service with a strong customer focus and effective client management. Possesses detailed knowledge of financial and fund accounting, along with operational experience Proficient in Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and familiar with Oracle R12 Proficient and hands-on experience on VBA Macros and AI tools Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and extended hours based on client requirement Capable of engaging with all organizational levels and possesses strong communication and influencing skills Demonstrates sound judgment, timely decision-making, and strong time management abilities. Experienced in SLA management and project management, with effective reporting and organizational skills. Good communication, presentation, interpersonal, report writing, problem-solving, and analytical skills Drive Ops excellence culture and lead transformational project(s) with clear visible and measurable impact Knowledge of quality improvement tools like Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Lean is beneficial Identify process improvements and apply lean principles to fuel innovation and growth Responsible for driving initiatives and ensuring results with a confined focus on timelines and quality Eligibility Qualified CA/CPA/CMA/MBA/PGDBM/CFA or equivalent degree with working experience in GCC / SSC Minimum 10+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting, preferably an experienced professional from Superannuation industry What makes you stand out?
