POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure is responsible for the information systems infrastructure including telephony, networks, technical support and computer operations and owns issue resolution of all IT infrastructure issues.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical & quantitative skills, critical thinking ability, high attention to detail, ability to derive insights from data and translate into a “story” that can be presented to both technical and non-technical audience. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors + 12 years of related experience in computer science or Information Systems/Technology or equivalent experience, or
  • Masters + 8 years of related experience, or
  • PhD + 5 years of related experience
  • Progressive Information Technology and Information System management
  • Experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team, including mentorship and performance management
  • Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, Core Switching/Routing, SSL/IPSec, SAN, Virtualization, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, modems, network interface cards, Mac and PC laptops, etc.
  • Experience working in fast paced technology or biotechnology environments

Responsibilities
  • Prioritize infrastructure projects and present solutions for maturity and scale
  • Analyze technical and serviced based solutions and provide cost-benefit analysis for proposals
  • Managing external vendor relationships including contract negotiations, RFP’s and statements of work
  • Manage business continuity and recovery of company’s information systems, including needs analysis, design, plan development, implementation and documentation
  • Lead systems administration, maintenance, back up, restoration and performance optimization in conjunction with external support vendors
  • Manage the company’s development, deployment and execution of controls and defenses to ensure the security of company technology and information
  • Analyze business needs and establish priorities for protection of critical systems and operational policies
  • Establish and implement appropriate standards and criteria for hardware, software, email and web firewall, access and encryption requirements, evaluate potential business impacts from security breaches and provide strategic and tactical guidance to business decision-makers
  • Ensure the security and protection of company systems and data by maintaining compliance with Adaptive security and information handling policies.
