Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive IT ownership framework for SaaS applications, systems, and services.
  • Define and document standardized processes for software procurement, onboarding, administration, renewals, offboarding, and governance.
  • Ensure the framework aligns with Angi’s business objectives, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Regularly review and optimize the SAM framework to ensure its effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a complete and accurate inventory of all software assets, including application details, vendor information, contract terms, usage data, and license entitlements.
  • Track software licenses throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and optimizing license utilization.
  • Utilize SAM tools (e.g., Freshservice, Zapier, Google Workspace) to automate inventory management, license tracking, and reporting.
  • Proactively identify and address shadow IT to bring all software usage under IT governance.
  • Oversee the software renewal process, including:
  • Reviewing usage data and business needs.
  • Negotiating renewal terms with vendors (partnering with Procurement).
  • Approving or rejecting renewals based on business value and cost, partnering with leadership/business owners.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with IT, Procurement, Finance, business owners, and software vendors.
  • Work with IT Operations to optimize spending by identifying unused licenses and redundant applications.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding software usage, costs, renewals, and compliance.
  • Provide training to relevant teams on SAM processes and responsibilities.
  • Monitor application performance and usage.
  • Track key metrics and generate reports to demonstrate the value of the SAM framework.
  • Provide regular updates to IT leadership and stakeholders on SAM activities and outcomes.
