JOB SUMMARY

This is a senior-level position within the London Investment Banking Unit, reporting directly to senior leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for the origination and execution of infrastructure and asset-based finance transactions across the EMEA region. Working closely with the CIB teams in both London and Seoul, this role involves managing relationships with corporate clients, financial sponsors, and institutional partners, and driving high-quality deal flow aligned with the Bank’s investment strategy and risk framework.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure, project finance, or structured finance, with a strong record of closed transactions.
  • Proven expertise in structuring and negotiating complex private investment transactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full transaction lifecycle: origination, evaluation, execution, portfolio management, and syndication.
  • Strong professional network within infrastructure, private equity, and financial intermediaries.
  • Solid understanding of risk management principles and credit evaluation frameworks.
  • Fluency in English and Korean, both written and verbal, is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Originate and develop strategic business opportunities in infrastructure and project finance across EMEA, leveraging an established network and market expertise.
  • Lead end-to-end transaction execution, including structuring, negotiation, documentation, and post-deal monitoring, in accordance with KB’s internal policies.
  • Conduct in-depth due diligence, including financial modeling, market and sector analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Independently prepare investment proposals and recommendations for internal credit and risk committees.
  • Manage and enhance KB’s infrastructure and project finance portfolio, ensuring optimal risk-adjusted returns.
  • Produce high-quality internal documentation, including investment memos, risk assessments, credit analysis, and sector insights.
  • Monitor industry trends and provide market intelligence and thought leadership to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across teams to support strategic initiatives and promote knowledge sharing within the CIB group.
