Job Overview:
The Senior Manager of Learning and Innovation to lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of our learning strategies. This role, reporting into the VP of Talent and Development, will play a key part in shaping and evolving the learning culture within the organization, ensuring our associates have access to world-class learning solutions. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to create impactful, engaging, and scalable learning solutions that drive individual and organizational performance and learning innovation.
Your Responsibilities:
Content Development & Delivery:
- Oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging learning content, using a variety of AI and other authoring modalities
- Partner with subject matter experts to develop relevant and up-to-date learning materials and resources
- Partner with the eLearning Specialist to assess various learning technologies, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other digital tools to deliver scalable learning experiences.
Learning Experience and Design:
- Advocate for learner-centered design to ensure that all learning experiences are engaging, relevant, and impactful.
- Drive the use of best practices in adult learning, blended learning, and instructional design to enhance learning experiences across the organization.
- Implement assessment and evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and improve based on feedback.
- Monitor industry trends and innovations to incorporate new learning technologies and methodologies.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Partner with a team of external instructional designers, learning specialists, and content developers.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define key learning objectives and measurable outcomes.
Change Management:
- Manage the change process associated with new learning initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption across the organization.
- Communicate the value of learning programs to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Process improvement:
- Create standard operating procedures for companywide wide training programs.
- Perform project management and analytics to ensure training milestones are met and deliverables achieved.
Leadership:
- Hold oneself accountable for delivering on business goals, company initiatives and other strategic planning initiatives as assigned.
- Proven leadership and change management skills on a large scale.
- Proven ability to prioritize and effectively communicate objectives.
- Anticipate needs across the organization and manage companywide resources to provide timely and reliable service to internal and external customers.
- Demonstrate and model company values internal and external customers.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, IT, Business Administration, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree or certifications in Learning and Development or Instructional Design is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in content creation, learning and development, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies, and learning technologies (e.g., LMS, eLearning authoring tools).
- Proven experience designing and implementing learning programs at scale.
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong written, verbal, analytical skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to use analytics to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient with learning management systems (LMS) and other digital learning platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
- Experience with eLearning development tools (e.g., Synthesia, Articulate, Captivate,) is a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License and State Mandated Vehicle Insurance
- Proficient in English
