We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager in Logistics to join our team and drive our logistics strategy forward.
As the Senior Manager, Logistics, you will own all logistics functions within our large production facility. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective movement of materials, products, and information throughout the supply chain. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of logistics processes, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives. An exciting aspect of the role is owning the logistics portion of a multi-year production facility transformation. You will manage the implementation of best-in-class equipment upgrades and ensure seamless operations throughout the transformation process. QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of logistics experience.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience.

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:

  • Aerospace experience
  • Electronics experience
  • High proficiency in data analytics with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Experience in redesigning floorplan layouts to optimize logistics flow and reduce waste.
  • Familiarity with SAP functionality associated with quality processes (Inspections, MBR, quality notifications).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.
  • The ability to remain focused under pressure to assess and resolve challenges.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead and manage the logistics team to ensure efficient and effective support for avionics operations.
  • Develop and implement logistics long-term strategies (3 years) and operational direction to optimize supply chain performance and reduce costs.
  • Primarily focus on tactical and operational plans with short to medium term focus (1-2 years)
  • Oversee inventory management, including quality holds, utilization levels in storage areas, and control of kitted stock to ensure availability of necessary avionics components.
  • Coordinate with and influence internal stakeholders at multiple organization leadership levels to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies related to logistics and supply chain management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to support project requirements and timelines.
  • Manage logistics budgets and financial performance, including cost control and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics processes and systems.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities for logistics team members to build a high-performing team.
  • This position requires minimal travel (less than 10%)
