Description
[What the role is] You will be part of the Planning & Performance Department within the Grants Division, focusing on data analytics and systems development initiatives. The role encompasses cleaning and analysing data to uncover strategic insights for evaluating programme and project effectiveness, as well as creating dashboards for performance tracking. You will also drive the planning and implementation of digital tools and systems for the Grants Division, working closely with key stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. [What you will be working on] 1. Collaborate with Grants teams to understand business context and strategic priorities to define problem statements or data use cases. 2. Collect and review relevant data from various programmes and projects and perform data validation and cleaning. 3. Analyse programme and project data to identify insights for evaluating effectiveness and potential enhancements. 4. Create user-friendly dashboards using Tableau to present insights and enable performance tracking and reporting. 5. Drive and support the development, enhancement and maintenance of grant systems and relevant (whole-of-government) digital tools to support grant operations. 6. Lead and support requirement gathering sessions and translate the Grants Division’s business needs into technical specifications. 7. Drive project implementation from conception to delivery, ensuring alignment across stakeholders. 8. Design and maintain systems and processes to ensure the Grants Division’s compliance with organisational data and system governance policies and procedures. 9. Undertake any other tasks and projects as assigned. [What we are looking for] Requirements 1. At least two years of relevant working experience 2. Possess knowledge in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Accountancy and/or subjects with substantial quantitative content (e.g. regression, analytics, modelling, forecasting) 3. Proficiency in scripting languages, data analytics, visualisation tools and digital tools (e.g. Python, Tableau, AiBot) 4. Knowledge of IT system administration duties 5. Good knowledge in whole-of-government data and data platforms 6. Proven experience in building and maintaining Tableau dashboards for performance tracking and reporting 7. Good project management skills 8. Good communication skills with the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders 9.
