We are a diverse team with deep industry experience alongside core future organisation skillsets. We are particularly looking for individuals with expertise in the TMT industry, specifically Telco.
As a Senior Manager in the team, you will work closely to build the proposition for supporting our clients to put people at the heart of technology transformations, both internally and externally.
Internally, you will work closely with the Directors and Partners to play a key role in influencing and shaping the strategic development of the proposition, considering the key client conversation starters and educating the wider senior team around these go-to-market plays. In doing so, you will build and upskill a team around you that understands how we can market and sell the proposition with sufficient expertise to advise and deliver.
Externally, you will also have the commercial experience necessary to build and develop significant new business opportunities for the Firm focused on the development of senior client relationships, primarily C-level roles within IT, People or Product functions. In doing so, you will build a level of eminence in the marketplace that gives you the platform to support the Firm’s growth ambitions in the long-term.
To be successful in this role, you will be a subject matter expert leading multiple, high-profile projects and bids, whilst developing innovative thought leadership. You will have the opportunity to learn from the best in the business and help recruit the best people.
Your role

The technical nature of your Organisation and Work design experience is expected to include:

  • Lead Technology & Transformation projects, focusing on organisation design. The role will focus on transforming some of the world’s largest organisations in TMT.
  • Help clients solve complex issues through expert advisory, leadership workshops, managing design and implementation content, performing analysis, providing recommendations and utilising a combination of experience, industry knowledge, tools and technology.
  • Leading several multi-disciplinary work streams of Consultants, Senior Consultants and Managers to deliver against client objectives.
  • Planning, scoping and shaping elements of future organisation projects and programmes with a detail on scope and risk.
  • Experience in all elements of operating model design, from strategy to location analysis to system / process dependencies, activated by the people transformation aspects including change management and skills.
  • Experience in managing end-to-end project lifecycle and risk management and demonstrating strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Having a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them, having a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture.
  • Support business development by contributing to new business proposals and taking roles in industry and account teams.
  • Actively contribute to the growth of the business by identifying and delivering sales opportunities.
  • Work with a range of stakeholders both internally within Deloitte and in client organisations, as a subject matter expert on Organisation and Work design.
  • People management experience, including managing high-performing teams; coaching and mentoring; supporting development of junior team members.
  • Providing insight, innovation and thought leadership to clients on the latest thinking relating to Human Capital / Future Organisation trends.
  • Contribute to internal practice development by participating in proposition, methodology and point of view development activities and supporting knowledge capture and sharing.

CONNECT TO YOUR SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Overall, your experience should include contribution to large scale organisation transformation programmes, ideally using traditional and/or agile methodologies with a “digital product and technology enabled” focus.
  • Experience of working on projects ideally in a consulting organisation, or in an internal consultant or equivalent role.
  • Experience and knowledge of working within the Technology, Media and/or Telecommunications industry or equivalent.
  • Innovative mindset and keen interest in newest thinking around transformation, the future of work, and technology disrupters.
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and fast-paced project environments and demonstrate personal resilience.
  • Ability to develop and manage client/stakeholder relationships at all levels in an organisation.
  • Ability to analyse and translate strategy into the implications for an organisation’s operating model and capability requirements.
  • Understanding of trends in work – and implications for the design and development of sustainable, adaptable digital organisations.
  • Experience designing work, roles and organisations for the future of functions – from customer-facing ‘front office’ to enabling and responsive ‘back office’.
  • Proven skills in the design of roles, teams and overall organisational structures.
  • Knowledge of effectively implementing end-to-end organisational transformation – connecting data driven design into new business reality.
  • Ability to develop insights using structured approaches to analysis.
  • Experience facilitating engaging and impactful workshops.
  • Ability to explore options in a structured way, deploying techniques such as design thinking, systems thinking and service design.
