ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Member Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for members within the territory, building strong relationships and understanding their needs and preferences.
- Oversee the renewal process for assigned accounts, ensuring timely and successful membership renewals.
- Develop and execute engagement plans tailored to the specific needs of businesses in the assigned territory, including in-person/virtual meetings, targeted communications, events and programs.
New Member Development:
- Connect with business leaders at non-member companies, educate them about the Indiana Chamber and establish their support of the organization.
- Leverage relationships with current members and partners to identify and close new member opportunities.
- On-board new members, directing them to how they can see the most value through their relationship with the Indiana Chamber and resulting in their long-term membership support.
Collaborative Partnerships:
- Support the Indiana Chamber’s efforts to be present and represent the business community in every corner of the state by attending relevant meetings and events within the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with partners (local/regional chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, affiliate partners, etc.) to support member engagement and new member development efforts, when appropriate.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of member interactions, engagement activities and renewal status using the organization’s CRM system.
- Analyze membership data to identify trends, potential at-risk members and opportunities for targeted engagement.
- Provide regular status reports to the Vice President, Investor Relations on performance against goal metrics.
Job Requirements:
- An understanding of Indiana government and general knowledge of issues important to the Indiana business community and the state’s overall economic development.
- Travel within territory up to 25%. Minimal overnight travel.
- Technical knowledge – Must be comfortable with the use of Microsoft products (primarily Outlook, Excel and Word), able to manipulate/analyze data, and track member engagements through use of a CRM system.
- High-level presentation and communication skills, appropriate for a C-Suite audience.
- An entrepreneurial spirit. Business development experience is a plus.
Direct Reports:
The role has no direct reports and therefore has no supervisory responsibilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
