  • Driven accounting professional with 10+ years of proven experience operating in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Leadership experience in leading a large diverse team, including identification and development of key talent.
  • Proven success in leading a multi-jurisdiction team within North America, including the effective execution of repeating monthly and quarterly reporting cycles.
  • Experience in advanced accounting and financial topics, specifically manufacturing and technology business related transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of US and local GAAP.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with experience working closely with senior business leaders.
  • Experience working for a US publicly registered company with > $500million+ revenue.
  • CPA certification required.

Responsibilities

As the North American Controller you will be responsible for the accounting operations, control environment, payroll and statutory compliance for VistaPrint’s North American business. This scope includes manufacturing, technology, marketing and customer service locations. As part of the Controllership Leadership Team, you will report directly to the VistaPrint Controller and lead a team of accounting professionals across the United States and Canada. As the leader of this team, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate execution of our monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, payroll and various country specific accounting matters. In this role, critical thinking combined with unmatched execution is key.

This is a remote position with approximately 5 days per quarter at our Windsor Ontario manufacturing facility and 2-5 days at our Waltham Massachusetts location.

  • Leadership and oversight of 10+ accounting professionals across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ownership of monthly/quarterly reporting cycles and payroll across North America.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of our accounting transactions and compliance with US GAAP.
  • Responsible for oversight and execution of indirect tax filings, duties and tariffs and other local tax compliance matters.
  • Active partnership with business leaders and contributing to decision-making through insight into financial outcomes of business transactions.
  • Maintenance and execution of an effective financial control environment across North America.
  • Development of team members and advancement of talent throughout the team.
  • Engagement with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with our global accounting policy and local statutory requirements.
