Essential Job Functions Oversee the conceptualization and development of data center designs, ensuring they align with Oracle's strategic objectives and goals. In most cases this is accomplished by working closely with our colocation providers who have hired the engineer and architect of record to review designs confirming compliance with our internal and external customer requirements. Analyze business requirements and align them with technical capabilities to ensure optimal solutions. Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to bridge gaps in understanding. Innovate Design Solutions for Rapid Construction - develop designs that prioritize quick construction methods to enhance efficiency and project timelines. Prepare and deliver clear and compelling presentations to senior management, outlining project progress, technical challenges, and strategic recommendations to support informed decision-making. Lead a team of design professionals in evaluating and approving efficient layouts, specs, and designs for critical facilities. Collaborate with all internal cross-functional teams to ensure integrated planning and execution. Ensure all designs meet Oracle's performance requirements, industry standards and local regulations. Manage the engineering team’s overview of all designs from initial proposal through to completion of construction. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments related to new designs and modifications. Champion green and sustainable design practices within data center projects. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
