Job Description The Senior Manager of Humanities (PK–12) drives the vision, implementation, and support of high-quality ELA and social studies instruction across the region. This leader ensures alignment with standards, instructional priorities, and student achievement goals while partnering with schools, coaching teachers, and leading curriculum initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Instructional Leadership Lead the design and support of ELA and Humanities instruction (CKLA Skills, Fishtank, Novel Studies, etc.) Support teachers and leaders in curriculum internalization and execution Coach leaders on effective instructional practices and data-driven planning Professional Development Lead monthly PD for teachers and leaders across grade bands Build systems that support continuous improvement in literacy instruction Curriculum & Assessment Ensure alignment to standards, proficiency scales, and regional assessments Track KPIs and use data to drive instructional decisions Collaboration & Communication Align with regional academic and school-based teams Communicate goals, updates, and priorities clearly to multiple stakeholders Qualifications 5+ years of ELA teaching experience OR Master’s degree in Education or related field Strong knowledge of K–12 Humanities curricula (CKLA, Fishtank, etc.) Experience across elementary and secondary settings preferred Skilled in coaching, adult learning, and cross-functional collaboration Proven ability to build systems, monitor progress, and meet ambitious goals Additional Information Work Environment Reports to work Monday-Friday. A typical school or office environment with frequent interruptions. Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to work location.
