Job Summary:  The Sr. Manager of Lateral Recruiting is responsible for managing the lateral recruitment efforts for lateral attorneys, including partner, associate, and counsel candidates in the Chicago office, while also supporting partner-level hiring firmwide in collaboration with the Director of Legal Recruiting, and providing coverage for lateral hiring in other markets across the Firm. This role serves as a key representative of the Firm in the Chicago market and plays an integral part in advancing the Firm’s strategic growth initiatives.   ***Salary in the range of $140,000 - $170,000 dependent on location and experience level*** Essential Job Duties:  * Manage the lateral recruiting efforts for partner, associate, counsel, and patent agent recruiting operations for the Chicago office, and additional lateral needs across the Firm.  * Serve as primary point of contact in Chicago for search firms and candidates. * Support partner-level recruiting in partnership with the Director of Legal Recruiting across the firm. * Identify hiring needs, draft job descriptions in collaboration with practice groups, source candidates, manage the interview process, draft and edit offer letters, ensure diligence ahead of onboarding. * Source potential candidates through direct outreach, market research, and referrals. * Screen prospective candidates to ensure alignment to the Firm’s needs and standards * Serve as a liaison to the practice group leaders, and practice group directors * Maintain and update recruiting policies and programs to align with best practices and Firm strategy * Manage and analyze recruiting data * Analyze compensation trends and market data to provide strategic offer recommendations and lead candidate compensation discussions and negotiations. * Serve as a liaison between the recruiting and marketing teams to enhance recruiting collateral and candidate-facing materials * Stay informed on industry and market trends to enhance recruiting strategies and programs * Support Director of Legal Recruitment as needed * Foster a diverse, inclusive, and positive candidate experience in line with Firm values Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree required; J.D. Preferred  * 4+ years of experience independently managing recruiting processes required * Attorney recruiting experience preferred * Knowledge of recruiting best practices with a focus on continuous improvement  * Strong research and data analysis skills  * Excellent interpersonal skills, along with strong verbal and written communication skills to understand and meet hiring needs * Team-oriented and collaborative mentality * Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information, demonstrating a high degree of professionalism * Strong organizational and multitasking skills with minimal supervision  * Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel * Ability to complete all essential job duties   Other Requirements:   The requirements described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
