Senior Manager of Regional Development
The Regional Development Network is presently seeking candidates for a full-time senior manager for regional development.

ABOUT THE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT NETWORK

The Regional Development Network (RDN) is a provincial nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the socio-economic development of English-speaking communities across the province of Québec. Supported by a network of regional English-language organizations, RDN collaborates with federal, provincial, and local governments as a way to represent needs and challenges and create projects and partnerships. https://regdevnet.ca/

JOB DESCRIPTION/ Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the executive director, develop knowledge of program opportunities within different ministries of the provincial and federal government that are pertinent to the needs of RDN’s member organizations.
  • Support the development of research and policy initiatives.
  • Manage projects and support/supervise staff if required.
  • Support the organization and its members in evaluation and performance measurement.
  • Design and deliver presentations to members and government agencies.
  • Communicate regularly with RDN’s management team with program/project updates.
  • Assist local member and non-member organizations when required.
  • In collaboration with the executive director, assist with community development plans.
  • Facilitate focus groups and compile information including those gathered from surveys and needs assessment, as required.
  • Represent RDN at meetings and conferences and with government stakeholders when required.
  • Create press releases, briefs, and articles for media and government.
  • Develop documents for internal and external use.
  • Complete funding proposals with federal and provincial governments upon request.
  • Support RDN and member organizations with strategic planning when needed.
  • Design and deliver training, mentoring, and coaching support to organizations in the English-speaking community.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong writing abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Knowledge of current community challenges and opportunities relating to the mission of the organization
  • Fluent in French and English—written and verbal communication
  • Master’s degree preferred and/ or relevant work experience
