The Corporate Tax Team is looking for a Senior Manager of Tax – US international out of Chicago, Illinois to oversee all US international aspects for the Corporate Tax organization.
This Senior Manager position is responsible for managing all aspects of US international tax, analyzing and implementing evolving federal tax laws and regulations regarding subchapter C of the Internal Revenue Code as well as managing a team of experienced tax project managers. This role will report to the Director of International Tax, M&A and Audit residing in Chicago and will have frequent and heavy interaction with other teams, including the tax teams located at Boeing’s offices in St. Louis, Seattle, Amsterdam and Australia as well as other function leadership.
A successful candidate will have a solid corporate tax background and experience in many US international tax disciplines. The candidate must be highly motivated with a demonstrated understanding of tax law and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time. Strong analytical, research and communication skills are required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate income tax compliance and tax accounting
  • Experience working with multiple internal or external stakeholders (i.e. business partner, customer, Finance, suppliers) in planning and executing projects or transactions
  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Juris Doctorate
  • 3+ years of experience leading and driving financial strategies and processes
  • 5+ years working with multiple internal or external stakeholders (i.e. business partner, customer, Finance, suppliers) in planning and executing projects or transactions

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required

Responsibilities
  • Manage the US international tax compliance and reporting processes, including the calculations for Foreign Derived Intangible Income, Global Intangible Low-Taxed Income, Subpart F Income, Base Erosion & Anti-Abuse Tax and the Foreign Tax Credit.
  • Review US international tax compliance forms, including Forms 1118, 5471, 8858 and various other US international tax forms and US income tax disclosures
  • Review and manage tax planning opportunities in areas noted above
  • Perform tax research on complex issues and providing support for legislative initiatives
  • Provide technical analysis of US tax implications of non-US restructuring projects
  • Team with business personnel, other functional leadership and outside consultants
