Description

Our client, a confidential leader in the food industry, is seeking a Senior Manager, Packaging Operations to oversee the full scope of packaging and warehouse operations. This position plays a critical role in driving efficiency, quality, and compliance, while fostering a culture of safety and accountability across the organization.
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations and Senior Vice President of Operations, this role is responsible for leading both packaging operations and warehouse performance — ensuring cost control, labor efficiencies, and process improvements that will elevate the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire warehouse and packaging area, including food grading, repack, and removal of damaged goods.
  • Ensure product quality meets customer and market standards through consistent grading and rework practices.
  • Lead a team including a Senior Manager, Manager, 4 Supervisors, and 6 Leads, providing mentorship, direction, and performance management.
  • Establish and maintain KPIs for labor efficiency, throughput, yield, shrink, and cost control.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with CFIA, BRC, HACCP standards and readiness for audits.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout operations.
  • Implement process improvements, automation strategies, and best practices in packaging and warehouse workflows.
  • Manage budgets for labor, packaging, and overhead while identifying opportunities for savings and efficiencies.
  • Serve as a key contributor to strategic planning, operational scalability, and long-term growth initiatives.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • 7–10 years of experience in packaging, warehouse, or operations management (food/produce industry preferred).
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role with proven success managing large teams and complex operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in labor efficiency, cost control, and productivity improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety compliance (CFIA, BRC, HACCP).
  • Experience managing packaging, grading, and repack workflows, including damaged goods handling.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a proven ability to build strong teams and elevate operational performance.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
