Job Description About the Opportunity Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a Senior Manager, Payroll to lead all U.S. payroll operations across multiple offices. This is a highly visible role supporting attorneys and business professionals across 10+ states — ideal for a payroll leader who thrives on precision, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. What You’ll Do Oversee full-cycle payroll operations for all U.S. offices, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across multiple jurisdictions. Partner with HR, Finance, and Benefits to align payroll with compensation strategy, audits, and reporting. Manage, mentor, and develop a small payroll team — fostering a high-performance culture and continuous process improvement. Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll tax, wage & hour laws, and system integrations (Workday, ADP, or UKG). Identify and implement payroll system enhancements and best practices. Qualifications What You’ll Bring 8–10+ years of progressive payroll experience, including 3–5 in a leadership role. Deep knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and compliance. Hands-on experience with Workday, ADP, or UKG (integration experience a plus). Advanced Excel and reporting skills; CPP certification preferred. Proven success managing payroll for large, professional-services organizations (law firm background strongly preferred). High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive compensation data.
