In order to continually promote and create innovative products that support our vision, we are currently seeking Senior Manager, People & Culture in Richmond, VA.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • MUST BE: Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • MUST BE: Local to Richmond, VA
  • University degree in HR, Business Psychology, Social Sciences or related field
  • HR and/or business experience (>10 years) within complex organizations
  • 5+ years in a strategic HR Business Partner / Generalist role supporting senior stakeholders. A deeper knowledge of one/two people levers and experience in people Centre of Excellence is a plus (e.g. organization effectiveness, talent development)
  • Experience in supporting and coaching senior leaders in developing and building high performing business focused organizations.
  • Ability to create a positive measurable impact on the organization through structured, contextual and steadfast action on business challenges, defining and directing relevant HR solutions and providing guidance and thought leadership to organizational stakeholders
  • Business acumen, understand the business and company’s organizational strategy, vision, industry to add value through HR activities which in turn drive business and organizational performance
  • Emotional intelligence and resilience: proven ability to listen and connect with internal stakeholders, displaying a portfolio of relationship styles to enable a productive work environment, working with and through others
  • Ability to be comfortable with complexity and ambiguity, considering how the business teams are undergoing continuous evolution and fast transformation
  • Critical thinking to interpret data and influence people decisions and recommendations, and to determine actions that will help to achieve consumer satisfaction, business growth and financial profit
  • Operational efficiency: ability to manage operational tasks in accordance and compliance with defined practices in an efficient manner, while keeping the focus on the key people and business strategic priorities.
    This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Starting pay will be determined based on an individual’s skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. These factors could result in a starting pay that is higher than the salary range listed.

Responsibilities

By building one US affiliate with a Smoke Free Future vision that includes IQOS and Zyn as iconic brands, the US People and Culture (P&C) team is the at the center of the smoke free future that PMI is driving and at the core of ensuring its success. Today and tomorrow. As senior member of the US P&C team, you will be responsible to build, grow and support our critical externally facing functions to enable business expansion and growth through the definition and implementation of the people agenda, contributing to deployment of an effective and efficient organization, building a sustainable and diverse talent pipeline, coaching the related US Leadership team. You will work closely with members of the U.S. leadership team in building and deploying the People & Culture strategy in the U.S. Reporting to the Director, People & Culture U.S. responsible for Engaging and Enabling functions, you will act as a trusted advisor and coach for our employees and leadership through closely partnering with the business.

  • Represent People & Culture as a highly valued Business Partner for the related U.S. Management team, employees and all other key stakeholders in the U.S., to provide support, insights and to partner with the business and our employees to coordinate and support people solutions that drive business results.
  • You will be responsible for building and evolving organization strategies, capabilities, structures aligned with the business and functional strategies
  • Build leadership capability and high performing teams
  • Drive the development and execution of PMI U.S. people and culture plan, ensure its alignment with the People & Culture and Functional strategic goals, and leverage and connect the core people processes to ensure the successful implementation
  • Talent: raise the bar on talent ensuring a high-quality, diverse, and sustainable pipeline across the different organizational layers, addressing current and future critical business capabilities, leveraging a balanced mix of talent development and talent acquisition
  • Leadership and culture: coach and influence managers and leaders to embody the culture and to develop high performing teams
  • Engagement: translate insights from employee listening tools and employee data into simple, focused, and actionable change and engagement initiatives
  • Translate people data and insights into actionable proposals and decisions, implementing the appropriate People & Culture solutions timely and with a continuous focus on the ultimate business impact
