Description

As the Senior Manager, PMO, you will be responsible for overseeing larger, more complex projects and programs, driving strategic initiatives across the organization, and managing a team of project managers. The Senior Manager, PMO is also responsible for optimizing project management processes, aligning projects with business goals, and ensuring high-level governance and reporting. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Lead and manage the Project Management Office, providing direction, support, and oversight to ensure the successful execution of projects and programs. * Establish and maintain project management processes, methodologies, and standards, ensuring consistency and best practices across all projects. * Collaborate with senior leadership to align project goals with organizational strategy and priorities. * Drive the development of the PMO’s long-term strategy, aligning it with the organization’s objectives and vision. * Oversee the project portfolio to ensure that projects are prioritized, executed, and delivered according to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards. * Regularly report on the status of key projects to executive leadership, highlighting risks, issues, and mitigation plans. * Conduct project audits and assessments to ensure adherence to project management methodologies and organizational standards. * Continuously assess and improve project management processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and effectiveness. * Develop and implement standardized project management tools, templates, and frameworks to ensure consistency and improve project outcomes. * Monitor and report on resource utilization, identifying potential gaps or inefficiencies. * Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, providing guidance and support to project teams to mitigate and resolve them. * Develop risk management plans and contingency strategies to ensure projects stay on track even in the face of challenges. * Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, business leaders, and external partners, to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables. * Ensure clear communication and reporting to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, providing updates on progress, risks, and issues. * Serve as a key point of contact for all project-related inquiries, managing expectations and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction. * Manage and develop a team of program managers, providing coaching, mentorship, and training to build a high-performing program management team. * Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve program management competencies across the team. Education and Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field * Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification. * Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM). * Proven experience managing and delivering large-scale, complex projects across various domains. * Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches. * Eight (8)+ years of experience in project management * Four (4)+ years in a leadership or managerial role within a PMO. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
