A Full-time position is available for Senior Manager of Procurement and Infrastructure to join our enthusiastic team of Health Professionals in the Corporate Services Department at Swan Hill District Health.

The senior management position provides an opportunity to work on high-impact projects that shape the future of our Health Service along with ongoing professional development and career advancement.

This senior management position necessitates a decisive ability to proactively take initiative in achieving desired outcomes. It is imperative to assertively communicate with influence, drive effective change implementation, and skillfully manage project related deliverables while actively engaging stakeholders throughout the entire process.

The senior manager will have specialized knowledge to provide oversight and direction, interpreting the Health Service needs, providing general guidelines, assessing local conditions and achieving desired results of the procurement and infrastructure deliverable.

Working within the health sector the senior manager will provide review, advice and counsel where required to achieve a positive people management outcome to achieve best practice care by the procurement and infrastructure portfolio.

 Description:

·      Lead and manage procurement and projects, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals and objectives.

·      Develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver value for money, efficiency, and innovation.

·      Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from tendering and contract negotiation to supplier management and performance evaluation.

·      Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver procurement solutions that meet their needs.

·      Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and best practices in procurement and contract management.

·      Manage and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.

·      Provide expert advice and guidance on procurement matters to executive and project teams.

 You Bring

·      Ability to lead a team and develop a high-performance culture.

·      Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·      Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract law, and risk management.

·      Minimum of 7 years of experience, in a similar role is preferred.

·      Hospital or Health service industry experience is highly desirable.

 Mandatory requirements (remove or add as per position description)

·      Current National Police Check, or will to obtain.

·      Working with Children’s Check, or will to obtain.

·      Evidence of immunisation records/history as part of the Health Services Act 1988, 2020 Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers).
